Florophilia is an app for people who will pull over while driving just to look at plants.

It's built for gardeners, designers, botany students, and basically anyone who wants to know the name of the thing growing by the fence.

Independent and free of ads and tracking, Florophilia is a place to learn a region's plants and become slightly less ignorant about the nature that surrounds you.

-Pick a region and learn its flora: which families dominate and which plants are native, invasive, or just passing through. -Build a palette for your region and season and see what's in bloom this month. -Every plant has photographs, bloom color, water needs, a hardiness zone, and a range map, sourced from GBIF, Kew, USDA, and iNaturalist. -Trace plant photographs until you know their shapes. -Lessons on plant families with spaced review. A daily crossword. -A field guide for each of 13 floristic regions. -Save plants into palettes for garden design, then share them or export a schedule for your nursery. -Free, with optional pro features like CAD block exports and water use calcs for design studios. -Lots of other cool features I just can't remember right now. -All sources are credited in the app.
