Features & Capabilities

A bar under the word counts down to the next one, and you choose the interval yourself. Answer straight from the widget without opening the app.

Learning that happens while you glance, not while you study.

Glim puts one word on your Lock Screen and Home Screen. You unlock your phone dozens of times a day, and each glance is a review. No session to schedule, no day to miss.

■ The widget is the product, not an add-on The Lock Screen widget holds one word and one meaning. No progress bar, no streak, no app icon. Every pixel goes to the word, because a widget that cannot be read in one second gets deleted.

■ You can see when the next word arrives A thin bar under the word counts down. When it empties, the word changes. You choose the interval yourself, from 3 minutes to an hour.

■ Answer without opening the app The Know / Not yet buttons on the Home Screen widget record your answer in place and move to the next word. The app never opens.

■ Start at your own level Pick one of five levels, from Starting out to Advanced, and words come from there. Each level shows real example words so the choice is obvious, and you can change it any time in Settings. Not sure? A 30-second test decides for you.

■ 11,655 words across 12 areas Emotion, food, work, nature and nine more. Your vocabulary map shows what you know at a glance, and the emptiest tile tells you where to go next.

■ My words Everything you have learned, the words that keep tripping you up, and what is coming next. Search in English or Korean, or narrow it to one area.

■ As much or as little as you want Review only, new words only, or keep going for another round when a set ends.

■ A wrong answer becomes a sentence, not a penalty Glim builds the sentence your wrong answer would mean and shows it beside the right one. "I ate a bank this morning" is hard to forget.

■ How it feels Card inertia, a tap of haptics on a correct answer, a tone that rises a semitone with every streak. Sound and haptics can be turned off completely.

■ Counted honestly iOS never tells an app whether its widget was actually seen. So Glim labels widget exposure as "glanced (estimated)" and never treats an estimate as real study.

No account. Works offline. Everything stays on your device.
