No unlocking, no fumbling. Put the bell on your Lock Screen and ring it with one tap while your hands stay on the bars.

Bike Bell is a bicycle bell for a handlebar-mounted iPhone. Tap anywhere on the screen to ring — or ring straight from your Lock Screen, without unlocking the phone.

That last part is the whole point. Reaching into your pocket, unlocking, finding an app and hitting a small button is not something you can do while riding. Bike Bell puts the ring one tap away from wherever your phone already is.

RING IT FROM ANYWHERE

RIDE MODE

Start a ride and a large bell button sits on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island for the whole trip, with elapsed time and a count of every ring. Tap "End ride" when you're done.

You can have this start on its own: a Shortcuts automation can begin ride mode the moment a cycling workout starts, and clear it when the workout ends.

THREE BELLS

Classic — a single bright ding. Double — two strikes, for when once isn't enough. Trill — a rapid rotary bell.

Every sound is synthesized rather than sampled: a struck brass dome modelled as inharmonic modes with their own decay rates, plus a hammer transient. No licensed samples, no tinny recordings.

BUILT FOR ACTUAL RIDING

No account. No network code. No analytics. No tracking. No data collection of any kind — the app has no way to send anything anywhere, because there is nothing in it that talks to a server.

A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS

Bike Bell is an audible warning device, not a substitute for one where the law requires a fitted bell. Check your local rules. And it needs your phone mounted where you can reach it — this is a bell for a handlebar mount, not for a pocket.
