Features & Capabilities

A verb, a tense, a person; you produce the form. Get it wrong and Conjugaid names the rule — the stem shifts, so je bois is nous buvons. 144 verbs, offline.

Conjugaid drills French verb conjugation. It puts a verb, a tense and a person on screen — parler, imparfait, nous — and you produce the form. Get it wrong and it names the rule you missed: the stem shifts between the stressed and the unstressed form, so je bois is nous buvons and never nous boivons.

144 verbs across four CEFR levels, nine tenses in six persons, 51 forms per verb. No account, no sign-up, no network. It works on a plane.

WHAT YOU PRACTISE

Nine tenses Five core ones: présent, passé composé, imparfait, futur simple and the impératif. Four advanced ones: conditionnel présent, subjonctif présent, plus-que-parfait and passé simple.

Six persons, not one answer French conjugates by person, so a tense is six forms and not one. Narrow a round down to nous and vous — the two that break the pattern — and drill them until they sit.

The stem that shifts je bois but nous buvons, je prends but nous prenons, je viens but nous venons. Reaching for the singular stem is the mistake, and the filter over level, tense, person and group is what you drill it out with.

The spelling that follows the sound commençons, mangeons, achète, appelle, paie — and the footnote every grammar carries: préfère, but préférerai.

avoir or être The compound tenses take one of the two, and the participle agrees after être. The verb does not tell you which one it takes. The app does, on its card and on every mistake.

CHOOSE OR TYPE

Answer by picking one of four options — no accents to hunt for on the keyboard — or switch to typing. Type without accents and the answer still counts, with the correct spelling shown next to it. Type an accent and you are measured on all of them: the difference between è and é is the lesson of the first group.

In choice mode, one wrong option is always the form a regular verb would have produced — vous prendez next to vous prenez. That is the mistake worth learning to spot.

WHAT COMES BACK

Every wrong answer shows what you wrote, the full form with its pronoun, and the rule behind it. The round ends with a list of exactly what to look at again, and the next round starts there.

WHAT STICKS

Every verb and every form has its own state: new, missed, learning, or solid after three correct answers in a row. A bar per verb in the list, a mark per form on its page — so you can see what is left instead of guessing.

THE VERB LIST

A searchable table of all 144 verbs, each tense on its own card with all six persons. Search by infinitive, by meaning, or by any conjugated form — read vais, find aller. The reference you reach for mid-sentence, not mid-lesson.

SEVEN LANGUAGES

English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and Turkish. Every verb meaning and every rule is written in all seven, not machine-swapped at runtime.

WHAT IS FREE

A1 and A2 with 82 verbs and the five core tenses — no time limit, no ads, no account. être, avoir, aller and faire are in there, so the four hardest verbs in the language sit in front of the purchase and not behind it. One purchase adds the 62 verbs of B1 and B2 and the four advanced tenses. One time, not a subscription.

PRIVACY

Nothing leaves the device. No account, no analytics, no tracking. The app makes no network requests of its own; the only connection is Apple's purchase check.

The conjugation tables are generated at build time from written-out rules and checked against standard paradigms.

This app drills spelling and form. There is no audio and no pronunciation practice, it is not a vocabulary trainer, and reflexive and impersonal verbs are left out.
