Study for the civics test at your naturalisation interview — in English, or in your own language.
US Citizenship Test Tutor carries both official question banks published by USCIS: the 100 questions of the 2008 civics test and the 128 questions of the 2025 civics test. You do not have to work out which one applies to you. Tell the app the date on your Form N-400 and it sets the right bank, the right number of questions and the right pass mark, because that date — and nothing else — is what decides which test you sit.
WHAT YOU GET
• Both official banks, complete. 100 questions or 128, whichever your application falls under.
• A mock exam in the real format. Twenty questions and twelve to pass on the 2025 test; ten and six on the 2008 one.
• Answers that stay current. Your senators, your governor, your state capital and the current officeholders come from a list the app keeps up to date, so you are not memorising a name that changed last spring.
• A written explanation for every question. Not just which answer is right — why it is right, and what else USCIS accepts.
• A study course, not a flashcard pile. Six chapters of plain-language text with drawn illustrations, and the questions for each topic one tap away.
• Practice by chapter, and a wrong-answer bank that brings back exactly what you missed.
• A quick game for short sessions. Five lives, a streak, and an explanation on every miss.
STUDY IN YOUR LANGUAGE
The questions, answers, explanations and study text are translated into Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Korean, Haitian Creole, Arabic, Portuguese and Russian, with more coming.
The app's own buttons and menus are a separate setting. Keep them in English and study in your language — the two do not have to match, because being able to use an app in English and being ready to sit an exam in it are different things.
The official questions and answers stay in English wherever you will need to say them to the officer.
PREMIUM
The app is free and complete: every question, every explanation, every chapter. An optional subscription removes ads, unlocks spaced repetition — which brings a question back exactly when you are about to forget it — and reads any study page aloud in your language, at the speed you choose.
Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by USCIS or the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The civics questions are published by USCIS as works of the United States Government. Everything else in this app — the explanations, the study text, the translations and the illustrations — was written and drawn for it.
This app is a study aid. It is not legal advice or immigration advice, and it cannot promise you will pass. Check the current requirements with USCIS before your interview.
