Locus GIS PRO - Field GPS

Locus GIS Pro is a GPS and geographic information system built for people who work outdoors. It runs where there is no internet: download the map in advance, keep every measurement on the device, and export to standard GIS formats when the job is done. No account required — your data never leaves your phone.

■ OFFLINE MAPS • Satellite and topographic base maps • Download the visible screen, an area you draw, or a corridor along a route • Downloaded regions are outlined on the map, so you know your coverage • Detail level is independent of how far you zoomed in • KMZ/KML raster overlays (georeferenced imagery) draw on top of the map

■ PRECISE POSITION • MGRS, UTM, WGS84 and geographic degrees • All worldwide UTM zones, plus national grids and your own proj4 definition • Satellite status: constellation, signal strength, satellites used in the fix • Position averaging — collect samples on a fixed point to cut the scatter • Antenna height reduction (phase centre to ground)

■ EXTERNAL GNSS AND RTK • Connect external receivers over Bluetooth Classic (SPP) or BLE • NMEA 0183 parsing (GGA, RMC, GSA, GSV, VTG) • NTRIP client: pull RTCM corrections from a caster and forward them • Automatic GGA uplink for VRS networks • Fix quality (single / DGPS / float / fixed), HDOP and satellite count

■ FIELD DATA CAPTURE • Waypoints with folders, icons, colours, notes and photos • Your own attribute schema — text, integer, decimal, date, boolean, list • Routes, track recording, slope routes, ruler measurements, areas and circles • Freehand sketching and notes on photos • Stakeout: bearing and distance to target, cut/fill, offset points • Proximity alerts at a distance you choose

■ GIS FORMATS • ESRI Shapefile import and export (.shp / .shx / .dbf / .prj / .cpg) • Multi-layer archives: every shapefile inside becomes its own layer • Projected files are reprojected to WGS84 automatically • Polygon holes, multi-part geometry and linked photos are preserved • Attribute text is UTF-8 — accented and non-Latin names survive the round trip • KML, KMZ, GPX and CSV • Attribute table: sort, filter, jump to a record • Layer styling, value-based colour rules and labels • WMS / WMTS services — add your organisation's own server
