Every August, students move into rooms they’ve never seen, with carloads of stuff that may not fit. Dormroom DesignAR closes the gap between “what’s my room like?” and “we’re done setting up.”

SCAN — Walk the room with a LiDAR iPhone and get a true-scale floor plan in about a minute: walls, doors, windows, and the built-in furniture, measured. Check every wall against a tape measure and correct any of them with a tap. No LiDAR? Start from a room template instead.

PLAN — Drag real products — futons, mini fridges, storage, rugs — around your floor plan at true scale. The fit check flags anything that collides, blocks the door swing, or just won’t fit. Loft a bed and see what tucks underneath. Preview the whole room in 3D.

SHARE — Publish your room’s floor plan (room number optional) so future residents finally know their dimensions before move-in day. Leave the notes you wish you’d had: which outlet is dead, which loft setting makes a futon fit. Browse rooms other students have shared, campus by campus.

SHOP SMART — Turn your design into a registry the whole family can chip in on. Every item shows its real dimensions and has already passed the fit check — so the futon Grandma buys is the futon that fits.
