Chromata : Logic Deduction

A code is deduced, never guessed.

One secret code. Five colors. One certainty: everything can be deduced. Chromata is a solo logic deduction game. A code hides behind three, four or five colors, each carrying a value from 1 to 5. You don't guess it — you prove it.

HOW IT PLAYS Each turn, three statements are offered to you — with no verdict attached. "Iris is greater than Cobalt." "The sum of Sulphur and Amber is less than 5." You pick one. Only then does the game reveal whether it is true or false. And that is the whole point: a false statement teaches you exactly as much as a true one. If "Iris > Cobalt" is false, then Iris ≤ Cobalt. There is no bad draw, no luck to suffer — only reasoning that is more or less efficient. Cross out impossible values on the grid, cross-reference, narrow it down. When one candidate is left, submit it.

A BREAK MADE OF ATTENTION No endless feed, no autoplaying video, no banner blinking to keep you here. Chromata asks for the exact opposite of scrolling: a few minutes of continuous attention, a line of reasoning held from start to finish, and the very distinct satisfaction of having worked something out instead of having consumed it. A game lasts two to ten minutes. It plays in silence, offline, on a commute or in a quiet room.
