Some things you can only say to strangers.

Secret Map is a map of the world made out of anonymous secrets. Write yours down, drop it on the map, and walk away. Somebody standing where you stood or someone too far away from you will read it, and neither of you will ever know who the other is.

NO NAME, NO TRACE We never ask for your name, your photo, your email, your contacts or your friends. There are no profiles, no followers, no comments and no messages. Signing in with Apple exists for one reason: so your secrets survive a new phone. Nothing else about you is kept.

YOUR EXACT LOCATION NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE A secret needs somewhere to sit, so it goes into a wide 5 km area — never on the spot where you are standing. The rounding happens on your device before anything is sent. There is nowhere in our database that could hold a precise coordinate, because no such field exists.

THE MAP SHOWS AREAS, NOT PEOPLE You see circles with counts, never a pin on a person. Open one and you get the secrets from that area, ordered by time, with no position attached at all.

READ WITHOUT SIGNING IN Guest mode gives you the whole map, read only. You only need an account when you want to leave something of your own.

CHECKED BEFORE IT GOES UP Every secret passes an automatic check before it appears. Every secret carries a report button, and any author can be blocked for good with one tap. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Five short community rules live inside the app, and there is zero tolerance for hate.

ONE A DAY One secret per day, on purpose. It keeps the map worth reading.

SIX LANGUAGES The whole interface in English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French and Italian, switchable at any time. Secrets themselves are never translated — they stay in the language they were written in.

NO ADS. NO TRACKERS. There is an optional one-off tip in Settings if you want to support development. It is the only thing there is to buy, and it unlocks nothing.

If something you write sounds like you are in trouble, we will not post it to a map of strangers. We will point you to the crisis lines in your country instead.
