Link three or more matching eggs into a closed loop, and everything trapped inside hatches too. Aim wide. Sixty seconds, from morning sky to night. Ten free plays a day.
Draw one line. Link three or more eggs that share the same number. Bring the line back to where you started, and the loop snaps shut.
Everything caught inside hatches with it — whatever number it was.
That is the whole game. Sixty seconds of it.
HOW TO PLAY
The board is filled with eggs numbered 1 to 9.
Trace from egg to egg across matching numbers. Distance does not matter — eggs on opposite sides of the board can be linked directly. Return to your first egg and the loop closes.
Every egg on the line, and every egg inside it, hatches at once.
So the goal is not the quickest link. It is the widest one. Take the long way around and scoop up everything in the middle.
ROCKS IN THE WAY
Rocks are scattered across the board. You cannot link them, and your line cannot cross them either.
Working out which order lets the line dodge every rock and still close — that is where the thinking happens.
Trap a rock inside the loop, though, and it shatters for 10 points. The obstacle becomes the score.
THE STAR EGG
A star egg stands in for any number, so it fits into any loop you want.
Tap one on its own and it detonates instead — clearing its row, its column, and both diagonals in a single flash. If that blast catches another star, the chain keeps going.
It is the best moment in the game.
HOW SCORING WORKS
- Close a loop — the number, times the size of the loop
- Catch eggs inside — each one is worth its own number
- Catch a rock or a star — 10 points each
- Match every colour — triple the whole thing
The numbers may match, but the glow behind each egg does not. Close a loop where every glow is the same colour and the score triples. Once you start hunting for those, your best score moves.
MORNING TO NIGHT IN SIXTY SECONDS
You have one minute.
As it runs down, the sky behind the board drifts from bright morning blue through sunset and into a firefly-lit night. The colour of the sky is the clock — you can feel the run ending without ever looking away from the board.
SIX RANKS
Score enough and you climb from hatchling to phoenix.
CHICK (100) - NESTLING (500) - FLEDGE (1000)
BIRD (1500) - EAGLE (2000) - PHOENIX (3000)
The badges sit on the title screen. Can you reach PHOENIX?
