MorseScope is an offline Morse toolkit for iPhone and iPad. Watch a signal become dots, dashes, and text automatically.

LIVE DECODING

• Finds and follows a stable carrier automatically. • Estimates frequency, speed, dot duration, level, and confidence. • Shows key state while assembling Morse and text. • Premium Decoder Pro adds a rolling live time-frequency waterfall with a six-second view, bounded ten-second history, and carrier overlay.

DECODE RECORDINGS AND WRITTEN MORSE

Import WAV, MP3, M4A, or AAC. MorseScope normalizes audio, estimates carrier and timing, and chooses the clearest stereo channel. Play or scrub while following time-aligned characters, spot low-confidence results, or tap a character to seek. Decode the built-in sample with one tap, or translate written dots and dashes.

Premium Decoder Pro adds a scrollable recording spectrogram with playback cursor and tap-to-seek; manual carrier; exact 5–40 WPM lock; sensitivity; and a 60–300 Hz filter. Results enter an on-device Session Library without source audio or spectrogram data.

ENCODE AND SEND

Turn text into International Morse code, play an adjustable tone, copy symbols, or export WAV or M4A. Send short messages through screen light, haptics, or rear-flashlight pulses. Visible modes use a conservative speed and warning; non-audio output has a 60-second safety limit.

ADAPTIVE CW PRACTICE

Learn every letter and number with Koch groups, Farnsworth timing, daily drills, focused review, and saved progress. Build deterministic drills from chosen characters or your text, then climb automatic speed ladders with accuracy goals. Practice callsigns, joined prosigns, Q-codes, QSO drills, the adaptive CW key, and guided sending.

FORMATS AND LIMITS

• WAV: uncompressed mono/stereo PCM; 8–32-bit integer or 32-bit float; 8–192 kHz. • MP3: mono/stereo CBR or VBR. • M4A/AAC: unprotected AAC-LC, HE-AAC, HE-AAC v2, and matching raw ADTS .aac; not protected audio or ALAC. • Import limit: 10 minutes and 128 MB. Use a clear 300–2,000 Hz carrier. • Encoder playback/export limit: 8 minutes. WAV is 48 kHz mono 16-bit PCM; M4A is 48 kHz mono AAC-LC.

These technical safety limits apply to both free and Premium use.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Core processing stays on your device. No account, analytics, or advertising SDK is used. Network access is only for App Store purchases and subscription management. Microphone audio remains in bounded memory and is discarded when listening stops. Audio and spectrogram data are not saved to the Session Library.
