Allegra teaches Sursilvan, the most widely spoken of the five written standards of Romansh — Switzerland's fourth national language, spoken by around 40,000 people in a single canton.

EVERY WORD IS CHECKED The course teaches 1,537 words, and every one is a headword in the Pledari Grond, the dictionary of the Lia Rumantscha. A learner cannot tell a correct word from a plausible one, so Allegra does not print Romansh it cannot check. In 2026 the whole course was checked a second time against half a million words of Sursilvan schoolbooks, and hundreds of corrections came out of it.
