IRON HORIZON is a real-time strategy game built for iPad. You command a modern combined-arms force across a 10x10 battlefield: infantry, armour, attack helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft and a full navy. Win by holding enough territory, or by levelling the enemy's Command HQ.

THE CORE DECISION Cheap units arrive now. Good units arrive later. A rifle squad costs 80 credits and two seconds. A Nightfall Bomber costs 1,280 and twenty-two. Every square you hold pays you every second, so time spent saving is income you never earned — but a light-vehicle rush dies to the first Titan it meets. That trade is the whole game.

26 UNITS ACROSS FOUR DOMAINS

• Infantry: rifle squads, Tank Hunter and Skywatch teams, mortars, spec ops
• Armour: light tanks, IFVs, main battle tanks, self-propelled artillery, rocket batteries, mobile air defence, and a railgun tank that outranges everything
• Amphibious: a hovercraft that crosses and holds both land and water
• Rotary and fixed wing: armed recon drones, attack and utility helicopters, ground-attack aircraft, multirole fighters, an orbiting gunship, a stealth bomber
• Navy: patrol boats, attack submarines, destroyers, missile cruisers, and a fleet carrier that launches its own strike drones

BUILD, DEFEND, ESCALATE Raise barracks, vehicle plants, helipads, airfields and naval yards. Fortify with bunkers, gun turrets and SAM sites. Put refineries on captured oil fields. Buy upgrades that apply retroactively to every unit you already own. Call in recon drones, paradrops, artillery barrages, airstrikes, cruise missiles — and eventually a Skybreaker.

TERRAIN THAT MATTERS Woods and urban ruins cut incoming damage. Hills add range and cover. Roads are faster. Only the right domain holds ground: boots on land, hulls on water, and nothing in the air holds anything.

TEN-MISSION CAMPAIGN From a desert basin to a coastal strait to the Scorpion Citadel, each mission opens up new hardware and a tougher enemy commander. Five distinct AI personalities that play by exactly the same rules you do — same costs, same build times, no cheating. Three stars per mission for winning, beating par time, and keeping your losses down.

ABSOLUTE WAR No tech tree, no drip feed. Pick any map and a scale up to 150,000 starting credits. Both sides begin with the entire arsenal and a production line already standing. Seize the central objective and hold it for thirty seconds, take seventy squares, or destroy their headquarters.

BUILT FOR TOUCH Tap to select, drag a box to grab a group, long-press to attack-move. Save three control groups. The HUD is docked along the bottom — nothing ever covers the battlefield.
