Spout – Community Tree Care

In summer, newly planted trees dry out within weeks. See on the map which one is thirsty near you, and log it in a few taps when you have watered it.

The trees of your city get thirsty in summer. Spout shows you which ones need watering, and lets you log it in a few taps once you have given one a drink.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Tree map — the town's trees on one map, with species, planting year and current condition. • Thirsty trees — the app ranks trees by need, based on the weather and the most recent waterings. • Log a watering — a few taps while standing at the tree. It works without signal: the app stores your entry and uploads it later on its own. • Care — log mulch basin work, weeding and stake adjustment. • Adopt a tree — take one on and follow how it is doing. • Water points — where you can fill up nearby. • Reports — broken branch, dried-out tree, damaged stake: with a photo and a location. • Teams — streets, school classes and groups of friends can work together. • Points — your work earns points, and collected points can make you eligible for offers from local partners.

DATA AND LOCATION

When you log a watering, we use your location to check that you o not store raw GPS tracks. For reports, the coordinates of thespot are saved so the problem can be found.

Other users only ever see your nickname — you edit your own name and details yourself, and you can delete your account from within the app at any time.

ACCOUNT

The map, tree details and water points can be browsed without an account. Logging waterings and care, and adopting a tree, require signing in.

The app can be used in Hungarian and in English, and the language can be switched at any time.
