Social Skills & Public Speech
Two minutes, one random topic, and a score you can watch climb. Aplomby turns speaking practice into something you actually do - no audience required.
Nobody gets better at speaking by reading about it. You get better by doing it, badly, until it stops being bad — and the hard part is doing it at all.
Aplomby gives you a stage, a random topic and a clock, then scores how you did. Two minutes, no audience, no setup.
HOW A REP WORKS
Lean your iPhone against something across the room, or sit at your Mac. You get a topic in huge, distance-readable type, a 3-2-1 countdown, and the clock. Then you talk. When you stop, Aplomby analyses your delivery and hands you a score card.
WHAT IT MEASURES
• Pace — words per minute, against the 120–160 range that reads as confident
• Filler words — every "um", "uh" and "like", counted and shown in the transcript
• Pauses — the longest silence, so dead air stops being invisible
• Airtime — how much of your target you actually used
No need to watch yourself back, though you can. The numbers do the work.
100 LESSONS ACROSS 12 TRACKS
Structure, delivery mechanics, voice, body and presence, nerves, content craft, persuasion, Q&A under pressure, conversation, work communication, occasions, and media. Each lesson is a three-minute read with one key takeaway, the mistakes people actually make, a phrase worth swapping, and a short quiz. Lessons that train a measurable skill hand you straight into a focused drill.
50 SCENARIOS YOU'LL ACTUALLY FACE
Choose-your-response dialogues drawn from real rooms: the networking opener, the hard feedback, the passive-aggressive colleague, the salary conversation, the interview you want. Every option comes back with a coach's note explaining why it lands or doesn't — and the answers are scored on a three-tier scale, because most real answers are neither right nor wrong.
WATCH THE LINE CLIMB
Score, pace and filler trends over time. A twelve-week consistency grid. Every session you have recorded, kept and searchable. Twelve badges, all of them earned on the stage.
BUILT AS A HABIT
Today's Mix gives you one lesson, one scenario and one stage rep a day — small enough to finish before breakfast. Set a daily reminder and keep the streak alive.
PRIVACY
No account. No sign-up. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party SDKs of any kind. Aplomby makes no network requests at all. Your recordings are stored on your device and nowhere else, and you can delete them all in one tap. Transcription runs on your device or it does not run: where a device cannot do it locally, Aplomby scores your timing instead of sending your audio anywhere.
APLOMBY PRO
Aplomby includes a full practice a day, the whole first Learn track, and three scenarios. Pro lifts the daily limit and opens the rest: all 100 lessons, all 50 scenarios, your complete history, and the pressure modes — curveballs, twists and drill focus. Available monthly, yearly, or as a single lifetime payment.
Aplomb: noun — composure under pressure. It isn't a talent. It's reps.
