GetHog is an independent, open-source client for PostHog. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or maintained by PostHog.
The PostHog companion for when you are away from your laptop. Check whether
the dashboard is moving, what a session actually did, or whether a flag is on.
TRY IT WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
Tap "Explore the demo" on the welcome screen. The whole app runs on bundled,
hand-written fictional data with no account, no API key, and no network
requests. Every screen below is explorable before you connect anything.
WHAT IT DOES
• Dashboards — browse your saved dashboards and the insights they contain.
• Events and people — inspect events with their full property lists, and the
people and groups behind them.
• Sessions and replay — walk a session timeline and watch web replay in a
native, offline player.
• Feature flags — review flags and change one only after an explicit
confirmation.
• The long tail — errors, SQL, web analytics, logs, warehouse, pipelines,
experiments, surveys, notebooks, and more.
• Widgets — home screen and Lock Screen widgets, plus Control Center controls,
backed by a cached snapshot.
BUILT FOR A NATIVE EXPERIENCE
Real iPad split views and multitasking, App Intents and
Shortcuts, Handoff, Dynamic Type through the largest accessibility sizes, and
VoiceOver support that is tested rather than assumed.
PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE
GetHog has no backend. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no crash
reporting, and no advertising. Your PostHog personal API key is stored in the
device Keychain and is sent only to the PostHog
host you chose. Nothing passes through anyone else, because there is no one
else. Signing out deletes the key and every cache the app has written.
Connect to PostHog Cloud US, PostHog Cloud EU, or your own self-hosted
deployment.
HONEST ABOUT ITS LIMITS
GetHog is not a replacement for the PostHog web app, and it does not pretend
to be. When it meets an insight type it cannot draw yet, it says so instead of
inventing a chart. Rate limits, missing key scopes, and stale caches are
explained on screen in plain language.
OPEN SOURCE
GetHog is MIT licensed and developed in the open at
https://github.com/abhitekula/GetHog. Issues and contributions are welcome.
You need your own PostHog account and a personal API key to connect to real
data.
