CHALLENGE P4WN

Test your instincts against the lightweight P4wn chess engine across five search depths:

New difficulty levels are earned through play. Defeat the current level ten times to unlock the next challenge.

PLAY FACE TO FACE

Turn one iPhone into a shared chessboard. White sits at the bottom, Black sits at the top, and a clear turn indicator keeps the match moving without passing the phone back and forth.

ENTER CHAOS MODE

Forget traditional armies. Chaos Mode randomly swaps pieces into unpredictable combinations: three knights, four queens, extra pawns—or something completely different. Every side keeps exactly one king, but everything else can change.

P4wn’s randomized army adapts to the selected difficulty. Lower levels receive more limited, pawn-heavy draws, while stronger levels gain access to increasingly dangerous pieces. Your army remains completely unrestricted.
