Unbrain

Capture a link, an image or a thought in one gesture. Unbrain tags it on your device and files it into your Spaces.

Unbrain is a private library for everything you come across and want to keep.

Save a link, an image, a passage of text or a quick note from any app in a single gesture — and decide nothing else. The share panel writes what you sent it straight away and closes on its own after two seconds. Where it belongs is not a question you have to answer at the moment you save.

Later, in the app, Unbrain reads what you kept: the text inside a picture, its dominant colour, what it shows, the keywords in a note or a page. It proposes tags. Your Spaces — collections you define once by tag rule — fill from those tags on their own, so keeping the place in order stops being a chore you have to remember.

All of it happens on your device. There is no Unbrain server, no account, and no sign-in.

CAPTURE • Save from any app through the share sheet — Safari, Photos, Files, Mail, anywhere. • Save the page you are reading with the Unbrain button in Safari's toolbar. • Add a link, a note, an image or a document from inside the app. • Tag at capture time if you feel like it. The panel closes itself if you don't.

ORGANISE • Spaces gather items by tag, either "any tag" or "all tags". • Fill a Space by rule, by hand, or both at once. • An item can live in several Spaces. • Suggested tags are drawn as outlines. Keep one and it becomes yours. Nothing else changes.

FIND • Search across titles, notes, text and tags. • Browse the whole library as a quiet two-column grid, filtered by links, notes, images or files. • Rediscover pulls something back up that you had forgotten you saved.

PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION, NOT BY PROMISE • No Unbrain server exists, so your data has nowhere to go. • No account, no sign-in, no email address asked for. • No advertising, no tracking, no third-party analytics. • Your library lives on your device and in your own iCloud account, which syncs your iPhone and iPad without anyone else in the middle. • Image and text understanding runs on the device, using Apple's Vision and Natural Language frameworks and an open-weights image model shipped inside the app. • The one network request Unbrain makes is to a saved link's own website, for its title and opening picture. No aggregator, no tracker, no favicon service. Turn it off in Settings and Unbrain goes silent.

A NOTE ON SIZE Unbrain carries its image model in the app rather than calling somebody's server, which is what lets analysis run entirely on your device. That makes the download large enough that the App Store requires Wi-Fi. It is a deliberate trade: a heavier app, and nothing you save is ever processed outside of your device.
