Most comprehension apps ship a fixed set of passages. Children finish them, or refuse to read a stock paragraph about a subject they have no interest in. Passage writes each one fresh, so there is always another, and it is always about dinosaurs, space, volcanoes, robots, or whatever they picked this time.

WRITTEN AT THE RIGHT LEVEL

Six reading levels, Grade 1 through Grade 6, control sentence length, vocabulary, and passage length. Every passage is checked against an established readability measure before your child sees it — and rewritten if it lands outside the target range.

FIVE QUESTIONS, EVERY TIME

Each passage comes with five multiple-choice comprehension questions, in the order teachers use them:

• A detail stated in the passage • What a word means in context • The main idea • An inference the passage supports • Sequence, or cause and effect

Your child answers by tapping. There is no typing anywhere in the app.

YOU SEE WHY, NOT JUST WHAT

After each session you get the score and a full review: which questions were missed, what the correct answer was, and one clear sentence explaining why. That is the part that tells you where to actually help.
