You get an identification, a period, an honest opinion on whether it looks genuine, an assessment of condition, and a value range with the reasoning behind it.

IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT DOES NOT KNOW

Most of the value in an appraisal is knowing how much to trust it. Trove says when the photographs were not good enough, when a mark is unreadable, when a piece could be a later reproduction rather than the real thing, and when the honest answer is that it cannot tell. It shows the evidence it used, so you can disagree with it.
