The board wants promotion. The fans want answers. Someone still has to pay for the new stand. In Flutlicht & Finanzen, you run a football club from the training ground to the morning headlines.

MAKE THE WEEK COUNT Plan your club's week and decide where time and money will do the most good. Training, staff, youth development and ongoing stories are part of the same job. Some decisions earn points. Others earn you another meeting.

DEVELOP PLAYERS, NOT JUST A SHOPPING LIST Watch young prospects, discover their strengths and choose who to develop, send on loan or bring into the first team. Transfer talks depend on relationships and what has already been said, not just fees and wages. A promising conversation is not yet a signed contract.

TAKE CHARGE ON MATCHDAY Pick your team, shape your tactics and make substitutions as the match unfolds. Follow the live text, 2D action and reactions on the bench. Voices and stadium sound add atmosphere, with adjustable audio levels. Afterwards, face the press and see what the sports paper in your chosen country makes of the result and your answers. A good excuse is no substitute for a win. It does fill a column, though.

A CLUB IS MORE THAN ITS STARTING ELEVEN Different fan groups have different priorities. Shape your club's identity while keeping an eye on finances, trust and morale. Develop the stadium and its surroundings, from stands and training pitches to a gym or a food stall. Check the cost, construction time and upkeep before you commit. The mustard budget deserves scrutiny too.

A FRESH LOOK, WITH THE OLD ONE STILL AVAILABLE The new Stadium Stage layout brings match information and characterful illustrations together. Phones put the next action first; tablets give you more room for context. Prefer the previous layout? Switch back in Settings at any time. Existing careers receive a reminder when starting up.

Start a career in Germany, England, France, Spain or Italy and compete in league and cup football. Clubs, players and competitions are fictional. This is not an officially licensed football product.
