Snug : Study Room

Hard to keep going alone. Somehow easier with someone there.

Snug turns the Japanese "mokumoku-kai" — a gathering where people quietly work side by side — into an app. Everyone shares one clock: 25 minutes of focus, 5 minutes of break.

■ You don't have to talk During focus there is no way to say anything at all. Only in the 5-minute break can you send a set greeting to the whole room. There is no free text anywhere. So there is no one to impress, and nothing hurtful to read.

■ No one-on-one contact No chat, no direct messages, no friend requests. Anyone who bothers you can be reported and blocked on the spot.

■ Late is fine You are never made to wait. Focus for whatever time is left and join the break. Whatever time you sat is what gets recorded.

■ 16 rooms A campfire, a night forest, a beach, snow, bamboo... pick a view and sit down.

■ Signing in is optional Everything works without an account. Link one and your record follows you to a new device.

There are no rankings. Not a single number here compares you to anyone else.
