Features & Capabilities

Nine enemy types, five biomes, and a tunnel that never repeats. New: mobile bases, homing missiles, and lava. Fly deep, burn fuel, and don't touch anything.

Fly a gunship into a collapsing cave system. One hit and you're down.

Tunnel Cobra is a modern take on the cave-flyer arcade formula: thread a scrolling tunnel, bomb the fuel depots that keep you alive, and find out how deep you get before the rock — or something shooting at you from it — ends the run.

FLY DEEP The tunnel is built from hand-authored pieces stitched together at random, so it is never the same twice and never arbitrary. Every stretch is one a helicopter can physically fly: the generator is not allowed to build a corner tighter than you can turn. You lose because you were outplayed, not because the dice were.

BURN FUEL Your tank is always draining. Depots sit on the floor, in the dangerous half of the tunnel, and often under guard. Bombing one is a decision rather than a chore — dive too eagerly and the rock takes you, hang back and you run dry. You can miss about three in a row. Not four.

DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING Nine kinds of enemy, introduced one at a time as you descend. Turrets that telegraph before they fire. Tanks that drive at you. Launchers that send homing missiles you can shoot down. Drones, gunships, saucers, cave swarms, and mobile bases that build more of them.

And the cave itself is hostile: ceilings that let go, platforms sliding across the shaft, lava pools that narrow the floor, and a boulder that chases you from behind and can only be outrun on the throttle.

Everything scales with depth — more of them, faster, and more willing to shoot. What never changes is the warning you get before a shot. That is the deal.

FIVE BIOMES Cavern, Ironworks, Glacier, Ember and Void, each crossfading into the next as you descend, so depth is something you can see as well as read.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY • Endless — your run, your seed, as deep as you can get. • Daily Challenge — the same tunnel for everyone, every day, one score, with a streak to keep.

Both have their own Game Center leaderboard, and they never mix: they are set on different tunnels, so ranking them together would be meaningless.

BUILT TO BE FAIR One-hit death only works if every death is one you could have seen coming. So the collision box is smaller than the ship. Enemies charge visibly before firing and never fire into a gap too tight to dodge in. The generator guarantees a refuelling chance on a timer, not a distance, so the opening of a run is not secretly the hardest part of it. These are not claims — they are automated checks that have to pass before a build can ship.

MADE FOR ONE THUMB Hold to fly, tap to bomb. Put the stick on whichever side you like. Assist mode shrinks the hitbox further if you want a gentler run, and there is a reduce-motion option for the screen shake.

ONE PRICE, EVERYTHING INCLUDED No ads. No in-app purchases. No subscriptions, no currencies, no energy timers, nothing to unlock with money. Every enemy, every biome and both modes are in the game you just bought, and every update will be too.

No accounts and no sign-up either, and nothing about you is collected — there are no analytics and the app makes no network requests of its own. It works on a plane.

Requires iOS 17. Plays in landscape on iPhone and iPad.
