THE THING MOST PEOPLE GET WRONG A long summer day does not mean a sunny room. A south-facing window in Amsterdam on the longest day of the year gets direct sun from about 09:00 to 18:24 — nine hours, not the sixteen and a half hours of daylight, because the sun rises well to the north of east and spends the early morning behind the wall. Sunroom shows you the difference.
