Features & Capabilities

A daily Quran portion that fits your life: named plans, a week you shape by hand, and a real tajweed mushaf. Your khatmah tracks itself — fully offline.

Wird helps you read a portion of the Quran every day. That's the whole idea — "wird" (ورد) means a daily portion of Quran, and everything in this app exists to make that portion easy to start and easy to keep up.

Open Wird for the first time and you are already on a mushaf page, reading. One question — how much time do you have each day? — and your plan is ready. Everything else is optional.

DAILY PLAN & KHATMAH

  • Pick a named plan — a juz' a day, a page a day, a khatmah in a month, a Ramadan khatmah — or shape your own. Daily portions stop at real recitation boundaries: ruku', surah, juz', or page.
  • Shape your week: press a day to make it heavier — Fridays can carry more, workdays less — and the finish date holds still.
  • A small rosette in the page margin marks where today's portion ends. Reach it, tap "I finished here", and the day is closed.
  • The khatmah's path chart draws your plan against your actual reading and says it plainly: on schedule, ahead, or behind — in days, never in guilt.
  • Rukhsa (grace) days forgive what life takes; a missed day never becomes a debt.
  • Gentle, optional reminders, plus Sunnah rhythms: Al-Kahf on Fridays, Al-Mulk at night.

YOUR READING, CHARTED

  • A presence heatmap of the last three months — one glance says you showed up.
  • Day by day: four weeks of bars in pages, minutes, or words; tap any day to inspect it; Fridays glow gold.
  • Your sittings: see which of your six daily sittings — after Fajr through before sleep — carries your reading.
  • A hasanat estimate counted the way the hadith counts: by the letter.

RECITATION READ-ALONG

  • Tap play and follow along as each word highlights in time with the recitation.
  • Choose from 7 respected reciters: Mishary Alafasy, Abdul-Rahman As-Sudais, Abdul Basit Abdus-Samad, Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary (standard and a slower teaching style), Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi, and Saad Al-Ghamdi.
  • Download a surah or juz' for offline listening, or stream on demand. Works from the lock screen and Control Center like any audio app.

A REAL MUSHAF

  • 604 pages, 15 lines each, true justification, and tajweed coloring — rendered from authentic KFGQPC font and layout data, not a reflowed approximation.
  • Page mode or continuous scroll, adjustable text size, and Paper, Sepia, and Night reading palettes.
  • Arabic-first, right-to-left throughout.
  • A calm reading flow: let the page scroll or turn itself at your pace, with a gentle heads-up before every turn.

NOTES, HIGHLIGHTS & SEARCH

  • Highlight ayahs, add personal notes, and share any ayah as a beautiful image.
  • Search the Quran, and read alongside translation and tafsir editions.

OFFLINE & PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

  • Wird works fully offline as a guest — read, build a khatmah, and listen, and nothing leaves your device.
  • Sign in only if you want your reading to follow you across devices — read on your phone, pull down on your iPad to catch up. It's never required.

Content provenance (KFGQPC/QUL fonts, text, and recitation data) is credited in-app under About.
