Sabbats, rituals, seasons
Now with five home-screen widgets, expanded seasonal journeys and private journalling. This release is designed for the Northern Hemisphere.
See where you are in the turning year.
The Wheel of the Year marks eight points in the seasonal cycle: four solar events and four festivals that fall between them. This app shows you where you are in that cycle right now, what is approaching, and what you could do about it today.
An interactive wheel, free forever. Open the app and the wheel tells you the current season, the days until the next festival, and where the year actually stands. Tap any of the eight festivals to read about it. This is the centre of the app, and it is never behind a paywall.
Dates calculated properly. Solstices and equinoxes are computed on your device from standard astronomical algorithms and shown in your own time zone, so they are correct to the day, every year. The app shows you the exact minute of each one, so you can check it yourself. The four cross-quarter festivals use conventional civil dates, and are labelled as such rather than dressed up as calculations. Choose the Northern or Southern Hemisphere and the whole wheel shifts with you — Yule in June if that is your winter.
History you can check. Every section is labelled so you can see what kind of claim it is: documented history, collected folklore, modern Wiccan and Neo-Pagan practice, or an optional reflective suggestion. Where the evidence is thin or disputed, we say so. A full source registry is included, free.
Prepare for what is coming. A journey is a short sequence of daily steps leading up to a festival: notice the season, learn where it comes from, clear a space, observe something growing, make something, sit with the theme, mark the day. There is no streak to lose. Miss a day and nothing is taken away.
A journal that stays yours. Write privately, with entries linked to the festival, season and moon phase they belong to. Everything stays on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, no upload and no advertising. Export whenever you like; delete everything in two taps.
Works offline. All of it.
