World in Sight reads photo dates and locations on your iPhone, turning real visits into a world map that gradually lights up, automatically organized journeys, and a personal exploration archive that keeps growing.

A place catalog that keeps expanding

The built-in exploration catalog covers 239 countries and territories, more than 33,000 cities, and over 170,000 representative places and landmarks.

China, the United States, Japan, France, Spain, Australia, Germany, Korea and Portugal have deeper city and place catalogs. World Heritage sites and additional regions continue to be added through app updates.

The catalog is designed for photo matching and exploration records. It is not a navigation service and does not represent exact official boundaries.

Journeys and memories, organized automatically

Photo-footprint routes connect photo capture locations. They are not continuous GPS tracks.

Complete photos without GPS

A photo without location data can receive a suggestion based on nearby geotagged photos from the same source. You always decide whether to accept it and can choose another place manually on the map.

Corrections stay inside World in Sight and never modify the original photo.

Privacy first

Photo organization, place matching, journey detection, statistics and reports are processed primarily on your device. No World in Sight account is required, and original photos are not uploaded to our servers.

Optional iCloud archive sync stores only location corrections, journey edits, exploration targets and report indexes. It does not sync original photos, thumbnails or home-library passwords.

World in Sight Pro

The basic map, exploration archive and selected memories remain free. Pro unlocks the complete journey archive, more location repairs, full nearby exploration, periodic reports, advanced memories, iCloud archive sync, and one WebDAV or SMB2 home photo library.

Some features require photo access, location permission or an active Pro subscription.
