Parallax Media Player

Parallax is an opinionated media player for people who run their own servers. It speaks Jellyfin natively, browses SMB and NAS shares directly, and is built entirely in Swift and SwiftUI for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.

YOUR SERVERS • Sign in to multiple Jellyfin servers, with a password or Quick Connect • Browse SMB shares and play straight from them, with automatic discovery on your network. No media server required. • Continue Watching, Next Up, watched state, and favorites stay in sync across every screen

PLAYBACK • Plays files directly when the format is compatible, and falls back to remux or transcode when it isn't • 4K and HDR playback when your server and hardware support them • External subtitle matching, language-aware track selection, and subtitle styling with a live preview

DESIGN • Native SwiftUI throughout, with the modern layout and Liquid Glass • Artwork placeholders that appear instantly, so browsing never feels empty

PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Parallax has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. It talks only to the servers you add. The developer receives nothing.

*Parallax requires a Jellyfin server (10.10 or newer) or an SMB share to play from. It streams nothing of its own.
