Race Recorder Omni Regatta lets sailors join supported Omni Regatta events and share live GPS positions while tracking is active. Participants can connect to an event with an access key or QR code, enter boat and sailor details, and start race tracking from their phone. The app sends position, speed, course, accuracy and battery information to the event server for live viewing, replay and diagnostics. The app supports offline queueing: if mobile internet is unavailable during an event, recorded positions are saved locally and sent when the connection is available again. Location tracking only runs after the participant starts tracking, and can be stopped in the app.
