VolleyCam: Volleyball Camera

Stream volleyball live to YouTube, share links before first serve, pause local recording, use compact Score Bar, and protect footage with smarter storage recovery.

VolleyCam was built by a volleyball coach and parent who wanted a better way to record matches without expensive subscriptions, complicated equipment, forced cloud uploads, or constantly running back to the tripod.

Put one iPhone on the tripod as the Camera and use another iPhone courtside as the Remote. Record, pause, keep score, check framing, tag rallies, livestream, and manage the match while staying with the team.

CAMERA + REMOTE Use a second iPhone to: • Start, stop, pause, and resume recording • Keep score from courtside • Check Camera framing • Request a current Camera view • Tag important moments with Heart • Receive Camera-displacement warnings

PAUSE + RESUME Pause during timeouts, between sets, or delays, then resume into the same saved recording. Paused time is excluded from the final local video.

YOUTUBE LIVE Sign in with your YouTube account and let VolleyCam handle the setup. VolleyCam can reuse team names, tournament, and set context when preparing a broadcast, reducing repetitive typing.

Prepare the livestream before first serve, get the viewing link, and share it through the standard iOS Share Sheet. Share with Messages, AirDrop, WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, Mail, and other installed apps. You can also copy the link or share it by QR code.

Local recording and YouTube Live operate independently, so pausing or stopping the local recording does not intentionally stop the livestream.

SCOREBOARD + SCORE BAR Choose: • Scoreboard — large, high-visibility scores with team colors, set, serve, and timer • Score Bar — a thin single-line display fixed to the bottom of the video to keep more of the court visible

Adjust Score Bar size to balance readability and court visibility. Team text automatically adapts for contrast on light or dark colors.

CLEAN VIDEO + FLEXIBLE EXPORT Keep score even when the visible scoreboard is turned off. VolleyCam can preserve match, score, set, serve, rally, and tournament context independently from the video, giving you more flexibility for clean footage, social-media edits, highlights, and later exports.

MATCH WORKSPACE After the match: • Browse matches, sets, and rallies • Preview individual rally clips • Navigate between rallies • Adjust trim points • Export individual or multiple rallies • Preserve source frame rate, orientation, and audio • Export directly to Apple Photos

RECORDING PROTECTION VolleyCam includes safeguards designed to reduce the chance of losing an entire match because device storage becomes critically low or recording is interrupted. It can monitor available storage, warn when space is low, and protect already-recorded footage rather than intentionally recording until storage reaches zero.

PROTECT YOUR FRAMING Tripods get bumped in crowded gyms. While recording, VolleyCam can warn the Remote when Camera framing appears to shift from its baseline and provide a current Camera view so you can quickly check the shot.

LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN No forced cloud upload. No watermark. No ads. No recording-time limit. No export limit. No required subscription.

Core Camera and Remote recording remains local-first. When you enable YouTube Live, video, audio, and authorized YouTube requests are sent to Google/YouTube to provide that feature.

VolleyCam is free for personal and noncommercial community use. Optional Support VolleyCam tips are completely voluntary and unlock nothing.
