VolleyCam is a volleyball recording system built by a club volleyball parent for the realities of match day.

Use one iPhone as the Camera and another as the Remote. Keep the Camera on a tripod while you control recording, update the score, tag rallies, check framing, and respond to tripod movement from courtside.

Place the Camera behind the court and operate the match from a second iPhone.

From the Remote, you can: • Start and stop recording • Keep score during the match • View the Camera before recording • Request a current Camera view while recording • Monitor elapsed recording time • Tag important rallies • Avoid reaching for a phone mounted high on a tripod

CAMERA DISPLACEMENT ALERTS

Volleyballs hit tripods. Players and spectators bump equipment. Gym floors shake.

While recording, VolleyCam watches for meaningful changes in framing. If the Camera shifts, the Remote receives an alert with a current preview so you can adjust the tripod, request another view, and set a new stable baseline.

This helps prevent an entire match from being recorded with part of the court out of frame.

HEART TAGGING FOR IMPORTANT RALLIES

Mark the rallies worth keeping while the action is still fresh.

FULL MATCH AND RALLY POINT WORKFLOWS

Full Match mode records continuously while preserving score, time, metadata, and heart tags.

Rally Point mode focuses on shorter rally-oriented recordings and quick favorite marking.

VOLLEYBALL SCOREBOARD SAVED INTO VIDEO

Add a compact scoreboard with: • Team names • Ten team colors • Scores • Set number • Serve indicator • Elapsed recording time • High-visibility LED-style digits

The scoreboard can be burned directly into the saved video, preserving match context without a separate editing step. Turn it off when you prefer clean footage.
