The Cut: Golf Scoring

The Cut runs your golf group's games the way you actually play them. Start a round in under a minute and invite anyone — players always join free.

Pick the game, type the names, tee off. Skins, Scotch, Nassau, Wolf, Best Ball, Scramble, Stableford, Match Play — every side game scored live, strokes handled for you, no arguing in the parking lot about who owed what.

SET UP IN UNDER A MINUTE Start a game from the first tee. Look up any golfer's handicap index by name and state, and it fills itself in. Your home course loads automatically. Add the crew once and they're saved for next time.

SCORING THAT KEEPS ITSELF Big tap targets, one hole at a time, built for a phone in a cart. Everyone's scores sync live, so the leaderboard updates while you're still walking to the next tee. Track putts and chips if you want the deeper stats.

GPS YARDAGES + YOUR CADDIE Satellite view of the hole, rotated tee-to-green, with front, center, and back numbers. Drop a pin to plan a layup. Mark your drive and walk to it to see exactly how far you hit it. Save your club distances once and The Cut tells you what to hit on every shot.

GAME WITHIN THE GAME The organizer posts props — "2 or more birdies today?", head-to-head matchups — and everyone takes a side for points. Live pick counts, a running standings board, and alerts that fire to the whole field when the lead changes or somebody makes a mess of a par 3. Points only, always. Nothing here is worth money.

TOURNAMENTS AND TRIPS Run a full club tournament with teams, flights, a tee sheet, and a live board. Or build a multi-day buddies trip — a different course every morning, a different format every round, one cumulative leaderboard all week. Ryder Cup mode included, with a real draft night: captains, a coin flip, and snake picks.

PLAY AGAINST YOURSELF Solo rounds put you head-to-head with your own best round at that course — stroke or match play, this year or all time.

GAME IMPROVEMENT Scoring average, putts per round, one-putts and three-putts, chips, and how you score by course length. The coach reads your numbers and tells you where the strokes are actually going.

PLAYERS ALWAYS JOIN FREE Only the organizer running the event needs Member. Everyone you invite scores, watches the board and keeps their own stats without paying a thing — ever. Member unlocks full tournaments, multi-day trips and GPS, and every new account gets a 14-day trial to try all of it.

The Cut Member is $99.99 per year. It renews automatically through your Apple Account unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Subscriptions.

The Cut keeps score in points. It never handles money, never processes a wager, and never takes a cut of anything.
