Calm, ad-free one-tap puzzle
No ads, just the game. One gentle tap sets off a chain of light, and every firefly it touches blooms in turn. Twelve levels, or a sandbox for one enormous cascade.
Fireflies is a game that uses one gentle tap.
Fireflies drift quietly across a dark field. You get a single tap — that's all that's needed — and wherever you place it, a glow of light expands outward. Every bloom that encounters another firefly causes a new bloom to emerge. Then you sit back and watch a cascade ripple across the screen.
There's no timer. No lives. No score multiplier to optimize, no daily streak to protect, nothing chasing you. Place your tap well and a good chain reaction becomes a great one. Didn't catch enough? You simply try again.
THREE WAYS TO PLAY
• Classic — a full twelve-level run. The board stays sparse, but the target climbs from catching one firefly out of five to fifty-five out of sixty, so the late levels ask for a near-perfect chain. Miss and you retry that level with no penalty beyond another go.
• Practice — pick any single level and play it on its own, as many times as you like. Each level remembers your best score.
• Custom — choose anywhere from five to a hundred fireflies and just chase one enormous cascade. No target, no fail state.
MADE TO BE CALM
Every sound is synthesized in the app — soft mallet chimes that climb the scale as your chain gets longer, and a sparse generative music box between them that never plays the same phrase twice. A big cascade earns a low swell and a gentle haptic bloom. It all obeys your silent switch, and each of music, effects and haptics can be turned off on its own.
Hold your finger down before you commit and a ghost ring shows exactly how far your bloom will reach. Comet trails behind each firefly show where it's heading, because a bloom lingers at full size for over a second — where they will be matters more than where they are.
WHAT'S NOT IN IT
No ads, of any kind, ever. No tracking, no analytics, no accounts, no sign-in. Nothing is collected about you because nothing about you is ever sent anywhere — the game has no network code at all. It's free, and there is no paid version, no unlock, no currency and no boosters.
There's a tip jar tucked away in Settings. It buys nothing at all, and the game will never mention it again.
Fireflies is a hobby project made by one person, for the pleasure of watching lights spread across a dark screen. I hope it's a calm few minutes in your day.
