Classic Car Show

The CarShow app is intended for car show event organisers who want to have pre-registration of vehicles attending their event. Registration of a vehicle uses the number on the car license plate. The app compares a scan of a car license plate against a list of pre-registered numbers previously downloaded from a website. The pre-registered list is a .csv file containing the list of pre-registered license numbers. The CarShow app captures an image of a car number plate using LiveText, compares it with the list of pre-registered license numbers and indicates whether the car has been registered to attend the event or not. If the scan incorrectly reads a number plate it can be manually corrected using the onscreen keyboard. Once the list of pre-registered cars has been uploaded to the app the scanning of cars works offline, without requiring mobile data access.
