Sabqi helps you memorize the Quran, one ayah at a time.

There is nothing to choose before you begin. Sabqi knows which ayah is up today, has it waiting on the home screen, and remembers where you left off. A session takes about five minutes. Suggested, never required.

THE WAY BACK

You start at An-Nas, the last surah, and work forwards. That is where the short surahs are, so your first complete surah is close. Progress shows that road from 114 back to 1, marked at the point where Juz Amma ends.

FOLLOW EVERY WORD

As the recitation plays, the exact word you are hearing lights up. Listening becomes reading along. Where the recording and the words do not line up exactly, the whole ayah lights instead of a single word — you never hear one thing and see another.

THE PLAYER

REVIEW, WITHOUT A MICROPHONE

What you know comes back on its own, exactly when repeating helps. You recite the ayah from memory first, then reveal the text and compare it yourself. Nothing is recorded and nothing is graded. Afterwards you choose between "I know it" and "Once more", and that decides when the ayah returns.

ELEVEN VOICES, OFFLINE

Mishari Rashid al-Afasy is bundled, so you can start straight away. Beyond that you can choose Mahmoud Khalil al-Husary, Abdur-Rahman as-Sudais, AbdulBaset AbdulSamad, Mohamed Siddiq al-Minshawi, Abu Bakr al-Shatri, Saud ash-Shuraym, Hani ar-Rifai, Mohamed al-Tablawi, Davut Kaya and Fatih Çollak.

Download what you want offline, by surah or by juz. On a train, on a plane, anywhere without a signal. You see the size before you start, and it comes off again just as easily.

Fatih Çollak is recorded per surah. With him Sabqi plays whole surahs to listen to, with no word layer.

IN THE CAR

Sabqi works with CarPlay. Continue where you left off, listen to a whole surah, or pick a short one — without touching your phone.

ON YOUR HOME SCREEN

A widget shows where you left off and takes you back in one tap. If you want a nudge at a fixed time, turn on the daily reminder. If you don't, leave it off.

BUILT TO BE CALM

Sabqi is made for people who are easily distracted. No popups. No streak you can lose. Not one word that makes you feel bad for skipping a day.

There is a calm mode that reduces motion and makes the glass layers nearly opaque. Beyond that, Sabqi always follows your iPhone's own settings: Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency and text size — the Arabic scales with it too. All of it works with VoiceOver.

THREE LANGUAGES

The whole app is available in Dutch, English and Turkish, including the translation beside every ayah.
