Evolith is a voice notes app for people who want to keep their own words. Tap record, talk, and watch the text appear in real time. Review it, and Evolith saves a tidy Markdown file wherever you keep your notes.

WHY EVOLITH • On-device transcription. Your voice becomes text using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Audio is never uploaded, and it is never stored after it's transcribed. • Your files, your storage. Keep notes on this iPhone, in iCloud Drive, or in a folder you choose. They are ordinary .md files that you fully own. • Made for your AI. Evolith writes to a plain folder your desktop AI can read. Point an assistant on your Mac (such as Claude Code) at it and let it work with your real notes. • Opens anywhere. Because notes are plain Markdown, they open in any Markdown editor, including an Obsidian vault. • No account, no tracking. No sign-in, no analytics, no ads.

HOW IT WORKS

2. Review and lightly edit. Evolith can add a title and summary for you.
3. Save. Your note becomes a dated Markdown file with clean frontmatter.
4. Find it later in the Journal, searchable by keyword.

EARLY ACCESS Evolith is free and unlimited while in early access. Paid plans arrive in a later update — and if you install now, unlimited on-device recording and transcription stay free for you, permanently. Optional cloud features that cost money to run will be a separate paid add-on.

REQUIREMENTS Evolith needs iOS 26. Live transcription works on every iPhone that runs it. The AI clean-up — tidying the transcript, adding a title and summary, and applying your vocabulary list — uses Apple Intelligence and runs only on iPhone models that support it. On other iPhones, your note is saved as the transcript itself.
