How RingMyEBell Works

RingMyEBell is a smart QR-based video doorbell system. It consists of a small hardware device an acrylic QR code plate that customers install at their door — paired with this companion app (the "Receiver" app) that the homeowner installs on their own phone.

Setup done once, when a customer buys the device: Each physical RingMyEBell unit ships with a unique QR code sticker and a printed serial code (format: RMB-XXXXX-XXXXX). The homeowner opens this app, scans the QR code (or types the serial manually), and enters their name and email. This activates their account and permanently pairs that physical device/serial with their phone no traditional username/password is needed, since the serial code itself functions as the account key.

Daily use visitor side: When a visitor arrives at the door, they scan the QR code sticker on the device. This opens a simple web page in their phone's browser no app download required for the visitor. Tapping "Call" on that page instantly starts a live video/audio call to the homeowner.

Daily use homeowner side (this app): The homeowner's phone receives a push notification and an in-app ringing screen the moment a visitor calls, even if the app is in the background. The homeowner sees the video feed from the visitor's phone and can answer to have a two-way video conversation with whoever is at their door, from anywhere not just at home. If they miss the call, they receive a missed-call notification with the visitor's approximate location (city/country) and can optionally leave a text message.
