VaultGo - Markdown Capture

Capture a thought, a voice memo, or a link straight into your own Markdown files. Transcription runs on your iPhone — nothing is ever uploaded.

VaultGo saves what you capture on iPhone straight into a folder you own, as plain Markdown files with the attachments beside them.

Point it at your Obsidian vault, or at any folder you like. Obsidian is not required.

TRANSCRIPTION THAT NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE Voice memos are transcribed using the speech recognition built into iOS, running entirely on your device. Your audio is never uploaded, and there is no subscription behind it.

Recognition is not perfect. Treat the transcript as a draft that makes a recording searchable later — the original audio is always saved next to it, so nothing is lost to a misheard word.

HOW IT SAVES Notes go to 00_Inbox/Capture, audio to Attachments/Audio, images to Attachments/Images. Every folder and the Markdown template itself can be changed in Settings.

Items shared from other apps are held as a reservation. Open VaultGo and they are waiting on the home screen, ready to save. The filename uses the time you shared them, so saving later does not put anything out of order. iOS does not allow the share sheet to reach your folder directly.

FREE AND PAID VaultGo is free and every feature above works in the free app. Saving is limited to 30 captures in total. VaultGo Unlimited removes that limit with a single purchase — no subscription.

Anything you have already saved stays in your own folder whether or not you ever buy anything. Nothing is locked away, ever.
