Every map on your phone is built to get you there fast. Twisty is built for the days when that isn't the point.

Tell it roughly what you want: curvy, scenic, backcountry, a loop from wherever you're standing, three hours to spare. It goes looking for roads instead of shortcuts.

FIVE GENUINELY DIFFERENT ROUTES

Ask for the same two towns five ways and you get five different rides, not one route wearing five labels. Backcountry leans onto the quiet roads. Max Twisty hunts corners and will happily cost you an afternoon. Fastest is there as the baseline you're escaping.

MORE THAN ONE WAY TO BUILD ONE

Tap the map point by point. Search a town. Add somewhere to pass through or stop. Trim the bit that sticks out. Roll the dice and be surprised.

Or type it in plain words, like "twisty roads toward the mountains, a diner about an hour out, back by six", and let Twisty work it out.

CHANGE ONE STRETCH, KEEP THE REST

Tap the line between two pins and redo that piece on its own: a different road, a little longer, or its own riding style. Every other mile comes back exactly as it was.

THEN GO AND RIDE IT (NEW)

Twisty now rides with you. Turn by turn, spoken out loud, following the exact line you drew. Nothing to hand off, no second app to open, and no route quietly straightened out on the way.

It navigates the ride you planned. It is not trying to be the app that takes you to work on Tuesday, and it has no traffic or lane guidance. It rides your ride.

Turn-by-turn is new in this version and marked beta while it earns its keep. It is part of Twisty Premium, and the first month is free.

Not subscribed? You still ride the same route. Export a GPX and it transfers corner for corner to BMW Motorrad, OsmAnd, Scenic, Garmin and most riding apps, or send it to Google or Apple Maps. Those stay free, and always will.

Just exploring? Just ride opens the same heading-up map with no route at all, so you can see the road ahead and wander. That one is free too.

WHY TWISTY EXISTS

I first sat on a motorcycle at nine, on my grandfather's Tomos, on the dirt road by the house. At twelve it was my uncle's bigger bike in the mountains of Serbia, and every summer the best thing I did was take it out and go. I knew every turn on those roads. On the bike they felt like somewhere else entirely.

Years later I went looking for an app that would let me think of a ride and then go and ride it. Everything I tried was built to get me somewhere quickly. None of it was built for the ride itself. So I made this one.

Built by a rider, for anyone who plans their own way there: motorcycle, car, scooter, whatever you ride.

Twisty Premium: $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year, with the first month free.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at the end of the free month. It renews automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Cancel during the free month and you are never charged.
