Orbital Docking is a Newtonian docking simulator built for the wrist. No arcade steering, no autopilot, no snapping into place — just momentum, a throttle, and a set of thrusters.

The station's docking collar is mounted on the rim of a turning ring, so it orbits the axis you are flying down. Hanging still in space will not save you: if the collar is sweeping past, you are moving relative to it, and the latches will tear.

Attitude is held for you, so there is no rotation to wrestle with. Everything you do is thrust.

CONTACT IS JUDGED LIKE THE REAL THING

Four things have to be right at the moment you touch: how close to the centre you are, how fast you are closing, how fast you are sliding across the collar face, and the angle you arrived from. Sideways speed is always the tighter limit — a gentle head-on bump survives what a slide across the latches will not.

A TIGHTENING RAMP

Tolerances close up, the ring spins faster, the tank gets smaller, and the drift you start with grows. Every level plays identically every time you fly it, so a better run is a better flight — never a better roll of the dice.

Arrive slow, arrive square, arrive with fuel still in the tank. That is the score.

HONEST INSTRUMENTS

Closing rate is signed, so opening and closing no longer look the same, and it tints against a braking envelope rather than the latch limit. A velocity pip shows whether you are matching the collar's orbit. Four lights on the target go teal as each constraint would pass.

HOLD is a station-keeping drill against the spinning collar. LEVELS lets you replay any unlocked flight.
