Helix Field Dispatch is the technician app for companies that run on Helix Field, the field service platform from BAW International. The office schedules the work on the web; the crew runs the day from this app.

YOUR DAY, IN ORDER See today's stops in the order the office set, with the address, the customer's notes, the gate code, and what the job needs. Open the map for any stop. Get a notification when the office assigns you a job or changes the day, and accept or decline a job when your company allows it.

EVERY STEP, RECORDED Clock in and out from the truck. Work through the checklist your company set for each service, attach before and after photos, and hand the phone over for the customer's signature before you pull away.

TELL THE CUSTOMER YOU ARE ON THE WAY One tap opens a text message to the customer from your own phone, with the arrival window filled in.

GET PAID BEFORE YOU LEAVE Send the customer a pay link they open on their own phone, or record cash or a check against the job. The invoice is marked paid in the office at the same moment.

HOURS, MILEAGE, EXPENSES See your own hours for the pay period, enter odometer readings when the app asks, and photograph receipts so the office has them the same day.

PARTS ON THE TRUCK Scan a barcode to find a part and see what is on the truck.

WORKS WHERE THE SIGNAL DOES NOT What you record with no signal is kept on the phone and sent when the signal comes back.

WHERE THE CREW IS, ONLY IF YOUR COMPANY TURNS IT ON If your company switches the crew map on, the app sends where you are every few minutes while you are clocked in and the app is open, and tells you on screen the whole time. Nothing is sent off the clock, and nothing runs in the background.
