SmartScroll is a learning app for grades 6 to 12, set up and managed by a parent. It takes the format students already love, a fast vertical feed, and points it at something worth their time: short lessons, quick practice, and real, visible progress.
What is inside:
Complete math, grade 6 through Precalculus. Every math skill from grade 6 up through Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus is taught to full depth, with unlimited practice that regenerates so a student never runs out. It is one unbroken mastery map from middle school to calculus-ready. Number lines, plotted points, and worked steps make it look like math, not a wall of text.
All six subjects, at full depth. Math, English, Science, History, personal Finance, and Spanish (reading and writing) each run the whole way from grade 6 through grade 12. Every skill is built out to full depth and machine-verified, with math capping the ladder at Precalculus.
A feed that adapts. Instead of endless clips, the feed serves short lessons and practice tuned to what your student is actually stuck on. As they get things right or wrong, it adjusts what comes next, and it brings a skill back for review right before it would fade.
An AI tutor that teaches. When a student is stuck, the tutor works like a good human tutor: hints and guiding questions first, then it hands the problem back so the student takes the next step themselves. It is an automated assistant and can sometimes be wrong, so students are reminded to check important answers with their teacher or textbook.
A homework photo helper. A student can snap a photo of a homework problem and get a clear, step-by-step walkthrough built to explain the method, not just print an answer. Photos are used to solve the problem and are not stored.
Progress you can see. Streaks, skill mastery, a Day-1 snapshot of where your student started, and a parent dashboard with a report after every tutoring session, synced across their devices.
Built to be healthy by design:
It optimizes what students learn, never how long they stay. The feed is ranked by what a student needs to master next, not by watch time. There is no engagement-maximizing objective anywhere in it.
It is built to end. A daily goal, natural stopping points, and no infinite autoplay. When the day's learning is done, the app says so.
No ads. No data selling. There are no ads, no data is ever sold, there is no social network, and the only messaging is with the tutor. Students do not have public profiles.
Safety comes first. If a student ever signals they are in crisis, the tutoring stops and they see a caring message pointing to real help, such as the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in the US.
Parent-managed and privacy-first. Students have no email, password, or account; only parents do. We collect as little as we can: a first name, an optional grade, and learning progress. A parent links the device, sees exactly what is collected, and can review or delete any of it, or all of it, at any time.
Subscriptions. SmartScroll offers auto-renewable monthly and yearly subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Eligible new subscribers may receive a 14-day introductory trial. The exact localized price, billing period, trial eligibility, and renewal terms appear before purchase. Payment is charged to the Apple ID at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or canceled in Apple ID subscription settings.
