Features & Capabilities

Two cameras recording at once, face tracking, matching timecode, and a Final Cut multicam in one drag. One payment, no subscription, every feature included.

Crosscut records both of your iPhone's cameras at once and gives you a folder that's ready to cut.

Most dual-camera apps stop at two clips in your camera roll. No timecode, no project file, and syncing them is your problem. Crosscut writes matching timecode into both files and builds the Final Cut project for you.

WHAT CROSSCUT GIVES YOU Two clean video files, both recorded natively. Not one file with a crop applied. The same time-of-day timecode written into both, so Final Cut and Resolve sync them without you lifting a finger. A separate WAV of the audio. A Final Cut multicam project. One drag, both angles, markers already sitting on the timeline.

TWO WAYS TO SHOOT Dual-Aspect runs both rear lenses at the same time. You pick which one is the master, the other rides along as a second angle. Front + Back records the rear camera and your face cam as two separate files. No burned-in picture-in-picture you can't undo later.

REFRAME AFTER, NOT DURING Any take can export a vertical cut and a widescreen cut of either camera. Square and 4:5 as well. If you want the composite, there's a merged picture-in-picture render and you choose the corner and the size.

MARK IT WHILE YOU SHOOT Tap Take, Flub, or Chapter mid-recording. Those markers show up on your timeline in Final Cut, and export as CSV and EDL for everything else.

IT BEHAVES LIKE A CAMERA 4K, 2.5K, and 1080 tiers, and it tells you honestly what your particular phone can run before you hit record instead of failing halfway through. Tap to focus. AE/AF lock. Torch. Exposure bias per camera. Slide up and down to zoom, side to side for exposure. Works one-handed. If a call comes in or the phone gets hot, your take finalizes and saves. It doesn't just die on you.

NO ACCOUNT, NO SUBSCRIPTION You pay once. Nothing is tracked, nothing is uploaded, there is no server. Your footage stays on your phone until you send it somewhere yourself.

Requires iOS 17 or later. Dual-camera recording needs an iPhone XS or newer. Final Cut Pro import needs 10.6 or later.
