Waffenschrank is a private inventory and range log for people who own firearms legally: sport shooters, hunters, collectors and everyday carriers.

WHY KEEP YOUR OWN RECORDS There is no federal firearms registry, and a private owner has no federal record-keeping duty. That cuts both ways. If a gun is stolen, nobody else has your serial number: ATF does not take theft reports from private citizens, and police need serial, make, model, caliber and type to enter a firearm into the FBI NCIC Gun File. Insurers ask the same thing on the application — do you have photos, do you keep an inventory list? This is where that answer lives.
