Idle mineral & gem collection
Just holding a mineral or gem up to the light is enough to unwind. Mineralium is a relaxing mineral & gem collection game where idle "observation points" let you explore veins of rock and fill a beautiful watercolor encyclopedia. Led by gemstones, you'll meet 120 real species — from riverbed pebbles to the world's rarest stones.
■ This is not an appraisal app
It does not identify real stones from photos. It's a collection game where you gather real minerals and gems as beautiful illustrations — no misidentification headaches, no appraisal fees.
■ Not a subscription. One purchase, once.
There is no annual auto-renewal. You can collect all 120 species for free through idle time and patience. Premium is a one-time purchase, and Restore Purchases is supported.
■ Watch, gather, explore
Your specimen shelf generates observation points even while you're away. Collect them, then spend them to explore — what you'll dig up is a surprise. There are no ads that rush you. Collect at your own pace.
■ A collection of 120 species
Every mineral you meet is added to your encyclopedia, with its Japanese and English name, chemical formula, Mohs hardness, crystal system, and locality, plus a bite-sized fact. From everyday stones like quartz and calcite to the four great gems — diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald — and Itoigawa jadeite (Japan's national stone), five regions (riverside & shore, mine, geode, volcanic & world veins, and famous Japanese localities) each hold their own distinctive stones. The 29 birthstones can also be viewed by month.
■ Rare encounters, special moments
Minerals have rarity tiers (N/R/SR/UR); the rarer the find, the more elaborate the reveal — light, particles, and a lingering finish. Meeting a UR sparkling with rainbow dispersion is unforgettable. Tilt a specimen to send a flash across its facets, and pinch to zoom in.
■ Your own specimen shelf
Arrange your favorite minerals in a showcase however you like. A moving light plays over the facets while motes of light drift by and gemstones glint. New backgrounds unlock as you progress. It's your own little mineral gallery.
■ Today's appraisal
An appraisal request arrives at your shelf each day — from a note the night before to an observation the next day. A gentle daily reason to fill your encyclopedia, little by little.
■ Thoughtful & accessible
Comfortable one-handed controls, rarity shown without relying on color alone (frame shape and star count too), support for Reduce Motion, and larger text via Dynamic Type. Everything works visually even with sound off.
■ Ads only when you want to collect faster
Ads appear mainly when adding observation points and on the encyclopedia list; watching is optional. You can collect everything without them, and every feature stays usable even when an ad can't be shown.
■ Premium (one-time)
Remove ads, get instant boosts three times a day, keep idle collection running offline for up to 24 hours, save illustrations as wallpaper with a viewing mode, and add extra display slots to your shelf. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and Restore Purchases is supported.
■ Honest notes
・The encyclopedia illustrations are made with generative AI. They are original watercolor-style art — not photos, and not to accurate scale.
・Every mineral and gem featured is real. We take the encyclopedia seriously: chemical formula, Mohs hardness, crystal system, and locality are fact-based. Organic gems such as pearl, coral, and amber are noted as such.
・Cultural and historical lore — stone meanings and birthstones — appears only in the encyclopedia detail, phrased as "it is said that…". We make no claims, stated or implied, about health, fortune, or investment value.
・Encounters during exploration are random, but the observation points they cost cannot be purchased (they accrue only from idle time and watching ads). We never sell randomized items.
