REMINDERS THAT ACTUALLY REMIND Nudges 90, 30, and 7 days before anything expires, and again on the day itself. Passports get a 6 month heads up too, because many countries turn you away if your passport expires within six months of travel. Day-of reminders use Time Sensitive notifications so they are hard to miss. You choose the lead times and the time of day. Optional email reminders back you up on the days your phone is off.

SCAN THE DATE, SKIP THE TYPING Point the camera at a passport or license and DocDoc reads the expiration date on your device. Passport dates are verified with the check digits built into the passport itself.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your documents are never uploaded to us. Scanning happens on your phone, and the photo is saved with your document, encrypted, deletable any time. No analytics, no ads, no tracking. Email reminders are optional: turn them on and DocDoc creates an account with Sign in with Apple, storing only your email address and the reminder details it needs to send. Delete it in Settings whenever you like, and everything we stored goes with it.

BUILT FOR REAL RENEWALS Mark a document renewed and the old date moves to history. Recurring documents roll forward automatically. Widgets put your next expiration on your home screen and lock screen. Attach receipts, photos, or PDFs, stored on your device and your own iCloud, never on our servers. Lock the whole app with Face ID.

DATES IN YOUR OWN CALENDAR Turn on the Hebrew, Islamic, Persian, Indian, Buddhist, Chinese, Japanese or Ethiopic calendar and enter a date the way you actually know it. A yearly repeat advances by one year of that calendar, so a yahrzeit or an annual observance stays on its own date while the Gregorian one moves. Reminders always fire on the Gregorian date.
