Features & Capabilities

Walk through the history of Earth and humanity in a unique 3D museum. Explore events by time and place, and discover how history unfolds across the world.

ChronoMap Museum is a three-dimensional museum of Big History.

Events are arranged according to when and where they occurred. As you move through the museum, you can explore the world across both space and time.

Move horizontally to encounter events taking place during the same period in different parts of the world. Move vertically to follow changes through time at a particular location. You can also wander freely and discover unexpected connections between events.

The museum begins with the Big Bang and continues through the formation of the Solar System, the early Earth, geological history, human history, and the present day.

Some early chapters of history cannot be represented by precise geographic coordinates. These events are presented in special exhibition spaces. Later periods are organized as a global structure, with exhibits positioned according to latitude, longitude, and time.

Tap an exhibit to open a card showing its title, date, and location. In some rooms, additional events without geographic coordinates are available through a separate information display.

ChronoMap Museum is based on the ChronoMap Project database. The project explores a simple idea: history is not only a sequence of dates, but also a network of places, environments, movements, and relationships.

The museum does not rank events or tell visitors what is most important. It offers an open space in which geological, biological, cultural, scientific, and social history can appear alongside one another.

Features:

• Explore history in a three-dimensional environment • Travel from the Big Bang to the present • Discover events through both time and location • Move between historical periods and geographic regions • Open exhibit cards with dates, places, and descriptions • Visit special spaces for events without precise geographic coordinates • Explore freely without a fixed route or required order

ChronoMap Museum is designed for curiosity rather than completion. You may follow a historical period, examine one part of the world across time, or simply walk until something unexpected catches your attention.

The museum is an ongoing independent project. New data, exhibitions, and specialized spaces may be added over time.

The app interface and exhibition text are currently available in English.
