Offline audio preset editor
See what your audio network actually does. Open exported presets, read the routing matrix and plan changes, entirely offline, on Mac and iPad.
A preset file tells you everything about an audio network, if you can read it.
Patefact opens preset files exported from your control software and turns them back into a
picture: every device, every channel and every single connection, laid out as a routing
matrix. No hardware required, no network connection, no account.
UNDERSTAND AN EXISTING SYSTEM
Take over an installation somebody else configured. Open the preset, look at the matrix,
done. Device details show sample rate, bit depth, unicast latency, IP address and clock
settings for every unit, without a single one of them being switched on.
PLAN BEFORE THE HARDWARE ARRIVES
Add devices that do not exist yet, name their channels and build the routing weeks before
load-in. On show day you load a finished preset instead of clicking through it on site.
CATCH MISTAKES BEFORE THEY GO LIVE
The built-in check reports connections pointing at transmit channels that do not exist,
receive channels that are already taken and sample rates that do not match. It warns about
mismatched clock domains, empty channel names and devices that were captured offline.
Better at your desk than two minutes before an audience.
WORK ON THE IPAD
The iPad version is the same app, not a companion: matrix, device details, validation and
CSV export. For the moment the laptop is in the case and you still need to know where
channel 12 goes.
WHAT IS INSIDE
• Routing matrix with separate filters for senders and receivers, zoom and collapsible devices
• Device details: audio parameters, network data, clock and PTP status
• Connect and disconnect with a single click, with full undo
• Rename channels individually or in batches using patterns
• Existing connections follow a rename instead of breaking
• Validation with six rules, grouped by severity
• CSV import and export for documentation and handover
• Light and dark appearance
• Eight languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese
COMPLETELY OFFLINE
Patefact never connects to a network. Network access is switched off in the app's security
profile. There is no account, no tracking, no crash reporting and no data leaves your
device. Your presets stay yours.
FREE AND PREMIUM
Patefact is free to use, with no account and no time limit. The free version handles up to
5 devices and 20 routes per preset, with an unlimited number of presets. Premium removes
both limits and adds a personal device library for recurring hardware plus batch renaming
of channel groups. Premium is a one-time purchase and covers Mac and iPad together.
IMPORTANT
Patefact does not transfer anything to hardware itself. Presets are written back as files
and loaded using your manufacturer's control software. Always test a modified preset in a
non-live environment first; loading a faulty preset can interrupt existing audio
connections.
