Tako Talk helps adult learners practise Japanese by talking with Tako Sensei, a friendly AI companion, and by following a guided Kansai Japanese Journey.

Speak or type in realistic conversations, review useful vocabulary, and receive focused feedback that helps you keep improving. Your learning progress can sync across your devices when you sign in.

Eligible learners can try 30 minutes total of Live conversation without a subscription. This allowance can be used across sessions and days and does not reset daily. Previously used Free Live time counts toward the total.

Journey, reviewed video examples, native recordings, recording comparison, kanji stamps, completed reviews, retained memory, history controls, and learning progress are free. Tako Talk Plus provides the paid AI conversation entitlement, including daily high-quality Live. Available plans, prices, billing periods, and any introductory offer are shown before purchase using information provided by the App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings and restore eligible purchases in the app.
