Features & Capabilities

Your health on your watch face, in plain language. New: page back through days, an explanation behind every number, and one subscription per family.

VitalTiles puts health data from Apple Health on your Apple Watch as a complication — including the metrics Apple provides no complication for: walking speed, walking steadiness, heart rate recovery, respiratory rate, VO₂ max, wrist temperature, environmental sound and thirty others.

On your phone you open a dashboard: your step goal at the top, what matters today below it, and four topics to drill into.

Walking — steps, distance, pace, step length, walking steadiness Sleep — duration, deep and REM sleep, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, wrist temperature Heart — resting heart rate, HRV, VO₂ max, heart rate recovery, blood pressure Environment — daylight, environmental sound, UV index, falls

Five complications, in every shape your watch face supports:

• Health metric — choose which value you want to see • Goals — three daily goals as rings • Streak — how many days in a row you met your step goal • Coach — what matters today • Needs attention — automatically shows the metric that stands out

A step goal that fits you

The 10,000 steps you see everywhere came from a 1965 Japanese advertising campaign, not from research. VitalTiles works out a goal based on your age and your current average, and explains where it comes from — citing the research it is based on.

Associations from your own measurements

After two weeks of wear, the app compares your active days with your quiet days and reports what that does to your sleep and heart rate. Only when the difference is large enough to mean something. Better to report nothing than to present a coincidence as an insight.

A report for your doctor

A PDF with your name, date of birth, the measurement period, how many data points there are per value, and where the numbers come from — including what a consumer watch can and cannot do. Without interpretation: that is a doctor's work.

Thirty-five metrics, explained

Every number comes with what it means, what is typical for your age, and what that is based on. No figures without context.

What the app does not do

• No ads, not even in the free version • At most one notification a day, and never to nudge you • Your health data stays on your device; no account, no analytics service • No account, no sign-in

Free and Plus

Free forever: all complications, your daily numbers, the step goal, the health signals, and one month of trend history.

With Plus: associations from your own data, trends over a year, the doctor's report, the build-up program, working out what moving more would gain you, and notifications.

You get two weeks of full access without payment details. Then you decide.

Not a medical device. VitalTiles makes no diagnosis and replaces no examination. If you have symptoms, contact your doctor.
