A DAILY PATH, ONE SKILL AT A TIME The SAT path runs 8 units and 24 skills; the ACT path runs 7 units and 19 skills. Each skill has three rounds - Learn (6 questions), Practice (8), Challenge (8) - with a higher accuracy bar at each step, and every unit ends in an 8-question checkpoint.

Free includes the first unit of each path: three skills and its checkpoint. Every unit after that, on both tests, needs an Ace Plus subscription. The Practice modes below are free and cover every skill.

WHEN YOU GET ONE WRONG Ace shows the correct answer, a written explanation, and a note on the specific choice you picked - most questions carry feedback authored for each individual answer choice, so you learn why your answer was wrong, not just what the right one was. Tap SEE THE STEPS for a numbered walkthrough. Before answering, take up to three progressive hints or cross out choices with the eliminator; the Strategies sheet adds a tip for the skill you are on.

YOUR SCORE, AGAINST A REAL TARGET Ace maps your per-skill mastery to a practice score estimate - 200-800 per SAT section, 1-36 for the ACT - and reports its confidence. Pick a target school from 90 U.S. institutions bundled on-device and its middle-50% band is shaded behind your score chart, using U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard data (June 2026). These are planning benchmarks for score-reporting students, not admissions requirements or cutoffs, and where a school has no published range Ace says so. Ace does not predict admission.

PRACTICE THAT PICKS ITSELF Ace Quest: 7 adaptive questions with a combo trail, untimed. Adaptive Practice: 8 questions, or up to 3 skills you choose. Review Mistakes: up to 12 questions you missed, no heart spent. Due for Review: 8 questions on skills ready for another pass. Deep Practice: a focused 20-question run. Ace Plus. The planner tells you which skill it picked and why.

HEARTS, XP, AND LEAGUES One heart per session, spent on your first answer check - mistakes never cost extra hearts. Hearts refill one every two hours. Set a daily XP goal of 10, 20, 50, or 100 and hit it to keep a streak. Leagues is a Game Center weekly leaderboard and needs Game Center sign-in; six tier badges, Bronze to Diamond, are earned by your own weekly XP.

WHAT ACE DOES NOT DO No timed sections, and no full-length practice tests - 20 questions is the longest run. No video lessons, no essay scoring, no AI chat tutor: hints and explanations are written in advance. No account or cloud sync, so progress lives on your iPhone and deleting the app clears it.
